Governor Scott Appoints Sherwood S. Coleman to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court

Tallahassee, Fla.- Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Sherwood S. “Flip” Coleman to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court

Coleman, 44, of Clearwater, has practiced law since 1994. From 1994-1997, he served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit, and from 1997-2007, he was partner with Kwall, Showers, and Barack, PA. Since 2007, Coleman has served as Associate General Counsel for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Coleman received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida. He fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge W. Lowell Bray.

Governor Rick Scott said, “Flip has demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the law throughout his legal career. Iam proud to appoint him to the Sixth Judicial Circuit bench and Iam confident he will continue to serve the citizens of Pinellas and Pasco County with enthusiasm and a commitment to the rule of law.”
