Governor Scott Calls for Applicants to fill Wakulla County Interim Sheriff Appointment

Thanks Sheriff Harvey for more than three decades of service

– As Wakulla County Sheriff, David Harvey prepares to take on a new role as the Executive Director for the Florida Sheriff’s Risk Management Fund, Governor Rick Scott is calling on qualified individuals to apply for the Interim Sheriff position.

“Sheriff Harvey has been dedicated to the safety and prosperity of Wakulla County residents for 35 years,” said Governor Scott. “His service is greatly appreciated and I know he’ll do well in his new role with the Florida Sheriff’s Risk Management Fund.”

Governor Scott plans to make the appointment by October 1, 2011, the day Sheriff Harvey’s resignation takes effect, for a term expiring Jan. 7, 2013.
