Governor Rick Scott Appoints Seven to Florida Citrus Commission

6/14/2011 Tallahassee, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott today announced five reappointments and two appointments to the Florida Citrus Commission.

Jesse “Jay” Clark, 67, of Wauchula, is the owner of Jay and Linda Clark Groves. He is reappointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

Michael J. Garavaglia, 43, of Vero Beach, is the president of The Packers of Indian River Ltd. He is reappointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

James S. Horrisberger, 58, of Lakeland, is the North American procurement director for The Coca-Cola Company. He is reappointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

Virginia “Ginny” Pena, 48, of Clewiston, is a controller for Southern Gardens Citrus Processing. She is reappointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

Michael O.Taylor, 64, of Naples, is the vice president of the agriculture division for Collier Enterprises Management Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

Michael W. Haycock, 61, of Longboat Key, is the vice president of operations for Tropicana Products. He is appointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

Martin “Marty” McKenna, 55, of Sebring, is the president and owner of McKenna & Associates Citrus Inc. He is appointed for a term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
