Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Jonathan Satter to serve as the Secretary of the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS).
“I’m pleased to announce that Jonathan Satter will lead the Department of Management Services as its next Secretary,” said Governor DeSantis. “With his extensive experience in real estate development and property management, I know the department is in fantastic hands and I am confident in his ability to use our tax dollars wisely and strategically in his new role at DMS.”
Jonathon Satter served as managing director of U.S. operations for Avision Young, the world’s largest private commercial real estate services firm from 2013-2018. Prior to that, he operated his own real estate firm, WGCompass, from 1999-2013, until its acquisition by Avision Young. He was appointed twice by Governor Jeb Bush to serve as a commissioner of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County from 2005 to 2011, serving as board chair for four years. He also served as chairman of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County from 2012 to 2014. In addition, he currently serves as vice chairman of The Michelle McGann Fund, a charity focused on juvenile diabetes, and as a board member of Rendina, a national health care real estate services development firm. Satter received his BA from Rollins College and his MBA from Nova University.
