Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Jay Madara to the Central Florida Expressway Authority.
Jay Madara
Madara, of Windermere, is the Chief Financial Officer of the Golf Channel and has served on the board of the Central Florida Expressway Authority since 2014. He was treasurer of the Central Florida Expressway Authority in 2017 and was instrumental in leading the efforts to eliminate a toll increase that year. In 2018, he served as vice chairman of the Central Florida Expressway Authority and subsequently was elected chairman in 2019. Additionally, Madara is a member of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Board in Orlando. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Temple University.
Madara is appointed for the remaining three years of a term. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
