RE: Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of County Commissioner Donna Storter
Long
On Friday, December 1, 2023, County Commissioner Donna Storter Long passed away at the age of 75 following a battle with lung cancer. She began serving as a Glades County commissioner in 2004, devoting herself to the good of her community for the past nineteen years. She was known to be determined and passionate, and would fight fiercely for what she believed in. Commissioner Long will be remembered as a dedicated public servant for her community and the people of the State of Florida.
To honor the memory of Commissioner Donna Storter Long and her service to our state, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the Glades County Courthouse in Moore Haven, Florida, the City Hall of Labelle, Florida, and at the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
