TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Robert Marinan and the reappointment of Gordon Fornell and James Wood to the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority.

Robert Marinan

Marinan, of Destin, is a Former Senior Manager of the Boeing Company. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Marinan is a current member and former Chair of the Defense Support Initiative and a member of the Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce. Marinan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and his master’s degree in public administration from the University of West Florida.

Gordon Fornell
Fornell, of Niceville, is a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant General. He is a current member of the Defense Support Initiative and the Okaloosa County and Niceville Military Affairs Committees. Fornell earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and his master’s degree in public policy and transportation from the University of Pennsylvania.

James Wood
Wood, of Destin, is a veteran of the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was previously elected as a member of the Destin City Council and is the recipient of the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Joint Services Achievement Medal. Wood earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Mississippi State University and his master’s degree in public administration from Auburn University.
