TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Anthony George, Susan Caron, Joe Conrado, Milo Thornton and Melissa Kindell to the Indian River State College District Board of Trustees.

Anthony George

George, of Stuart, is an Attorney and Partner at Fox, McCluskey, Bush and Robison. Previously, he served on the Martin County School Board, Florida Education Standards Commission and the Martin County Children Services Council. George earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from the University of Florida.

Susan Caron

Caron, of Fort Pierce, is the former Co-Owner and Vice President of Robert M. Caron Construction, Inc. She is a member of the Association of Community College Trustees and previously served on the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council.

Joe Conrado

Conrado, of Vero Beach, is the President of Conrado Enterprises. He is a former Vice Chair of the Indian River State College Foundation and serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity. Conrado earned his associate’s degree from Indian River State College where he was recognized with their Distinguished Alumni Award.

Milo Thornton

Thornton, of Vero Beach, is a Deputy Chief with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. He is a board member for New Horizons of the Treasure Coast, the Gifford Youth Achievement Center and Crossover Mission. Thornton is a graduate of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Leadership Academy and earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Indian River State College.

 

Melissa Kindell

Kindell, of Okeechobee, is a Pediatric Dentist and Owner of Everglades Pediatric Dentistry. She is President of the Board at Martha’s House and serves on the Executive Board of the Economic Council of Okeechobee. Kindell earned her associate’s degree from Indian River State College and her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and doctorate of medical dentistry from the University of Florida.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
