Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Monte Stevens to the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Trustees.

Stevens, of Tallahassee, is a Partner at The Southern Group. Previously, he was Deputy Chief of Staff at the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and worked in legislative affairs at the Agency for Healthcare Administration and the Department of Financial Services. Stevens was a member of two national champion debate teams at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science before earning his master’s degree in speech communication from Kansas State University.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
