Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of James Campo, Susan Kinane, Joe Flanagan, Susan Burrows and Jodie Certosimo to the Martin County Children’s Services Council.
James Campo
Campo, of Stuart, is a certified financial planner and President of Campo Financial Services. He is the Vice Mayor of the Town of Seawall’s Point, a member of the Martin County Metropolitan Planning Organization and has served on the Martin County Children’s Services Council since 2018. Campo earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida Atlantic University and his Certified Financial Planner certificate from Florida Institute of Technology.
Susan Kinane
Kinane, of Palm City, is Chief Executive Officer of the SM Kinane Corporation. She is Board President for the Samaritan Center for Boys, Campaign Chair for Molly’s House and is a member of the Stuart Martin County Chamber of Commerce, Palm City Chamber of Commerce, Martin County Business Exchange and the House of Hope. Kinane earned an associate’s degree from the State University of New York.
Joe Flanagan
Flanagan, of Stuart, is an Assistant Principal at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School. Previously, he was Director of the Department of Transportation for the Martin County School District and Principal of Spectrum Academy and Dizzy Gillespie Charter School. Flanagan is President of Children’s Emergency Resources and a member of the Florida School Music Association and Project Graduation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music education from Troy State University and his master’s degree in education from Georgia Southern University.
Susan Burrows
Burrows, of Stuart, is the retired Principal of the Challenger School of the Martin County School District. She has served on the Martin County Children’s Services Council since 2018 and is also involved with the Hope Center for Autism and ARC of Martin County. Burrows earned her bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey and her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Jodie Certosimo
Certosimo, of Jensen Beach, is Coordinator of Title 1 Programs at St. Lucie County Public Schools. Previously, she worked in admissions at Florida Atlantic University and as an Exceptional Education Teacher in St. Lucie County Public Schools. Certosimo is Treasurer of the Florida Grant Developers Network and previously served on the board of Team Tommy Foundation. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exceptional education from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in education and PhD in education leadership from Florida Atlantic University.
