Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Darla Portman and Christopher Nebbeling to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Darla Portman

Portman, of Wesley Chapel, is a Master Police Officer with the City of Tampa Police Department. She is currently the President of the Tampa Police Benevolent Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Police Benevolent Association. Portman earned her bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of South Florida.

Christopher Nebbeling

Nebbeling, of Stuart, is a Range Master with the West Palm Beach Police Department. He served in and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. Nebbeling is a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, Master Taser Instructor, Driving Instructor and Defensive Tactics Instructor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Phoenix.
