Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Mark Smith, Darryl Fales, Earl Losier, Troy Maschmeyer, Rockie Jenkins, William Parsons, Justin Lord and Robert Carlton to the Concrete Masonry Education Council Board of Directors.

Mark Smith

Smith, of Bell, is the owner of Bell Concrete Products and Columbia Ready Mix. He is a National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Certified Sales Professional and is a past Florida Independent Concrete Products Association Producer of the Year. Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.

Darryl Fales

Fales, of Estero, is President of Preferred Materials’ concrete division. He is a previous chairman of the Florida Concrete Products Association. Fales earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his master’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Earl Losier

Losier, of Lutz, is Vice President, Florida Ready Mix and Concrete Products for Titan America. He has over 28 years of experience in the building materials industry with previous stints with Preferred Materials and OldCastle Materials. Losier earned his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University.

Troy Maschmeyer

Maschmeyer, of Palm Beach, is the Chief Executive Officer of Maschmeyer Concrete Company. He is a founding member of the Florida Independent Concrete Products Association and is on the executive committee of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association.

Rockie Jenkins

Jenkins, of Merritt Island, is the Director of CEMEX Florida. He has been involved with the Masonry Association of Florida, Florida Masonry Apprenticeship and Education Foundation and the National Concrete Masonry Association. Jenkins earned his bachelor’s degree from Trevecca University and his master of business administration from Saint Leo University.

William Parsons

Parsons, of Orlando, is a Regional Vice President at Pyramid Masonry Contractors. He has been involved with the Masonry Association of Florida, Central Florida Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and the American Society for Testing and Materials. Parsons earned his bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University.

Justin Lord

Lord, of Fort Lauderdale, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Broward Construction. He has served with the Masonry Association of Florida, Construction Association of South Florida and the Associated Builders and Contractors. Lord earned his bachelor’s degree in building construction from Auburn University.

Robert Carlton

Carlton, of St. Augustine, is the General Manager of Carlton-Walker Masonry. He has been involved with the Florida Masonry Apprenticeship and Education Foundation and the Masonry Association of Florida, having served both as chairman. Carlton attended Miami Dade College.
