Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Mark Goodson to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees.

Goodson, of Palmetto, is the retired President of Goodson Electric. He has been involved with the Manatee Memorial Hospital Board, Manatee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Electrical Council of Florida and the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society. Goodson earned his associate’s degree from Manatee Junior College and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
