Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Peter Collins and Deborah Sargeant to the Florida State University Board of Trustees.

Peter Collins

Collins, of Tampa, is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Forge Capital Partners. He is a former Chair of the Florida Pension Investment Advisory Council and with his wife, Jennifer established the Peter and Jennifer Collins Graduate Fellowship in Real Estate within the Florida State University College of Business. Collins volunteers his time with the Boy Scouts of America and Christ the King Catholic Church. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and his Master of Business Administration from Florida State University.

Deborah Sargeant

Sargeant, of Gulf Stream, is a Florida native who spent three years at Florida State University before finishing her bachelor’s degree in accounting at California State University Long Beach. She is a former member of the Governor’s Mansion Commission and volunteers her time with the Bethesda Hospital Foundation, Cason United Methodist Church and the Delray Beach Historical Society.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
