Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of Joseph Berardinelli and Tracy Wagner and the reappointment of Timothy Czerniec to the Higher Education Facilities Financing Authority. The Higher Educational Facilities Financing Authority is a statewide tax-exempt bond conduit specifically chartered for non-profit institutions of higher education that are domiciled in Florida and are accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges.

Joseph Berardinelli

Berardinelli, of Palm City, is the chief financial officer of Everglades College, Inc. Previously, he served as a business manager with Florida Power and Light Company. He is a member and past president of the Institute of Management Accountants. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Le Moyne College. Berardinelli is appointed to a five-year term.

Tracy Wagner

Wagner, of Bradenton, is the vice president for finance and administration at Ringling College of Art and Design. She has served as chair of the Florida Independent Colleges and Universities Risk Management Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from the University of Northern Iowa, her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dubuque and her doctorate in philosophy and educational leadership and administration from Barry University. Wagner is appointed to a five-year term.

Timothy Czerniec

Czerniec, of Miami, is a higher education consultant. Previously, he served as senior vice president for business and finance at Barry University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior from Kent State University and masters’ degrees in education and business management from the University of Miami. Czerniec is reappointed to a five-year term.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
