Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Llyod Freckleton to the Daytona State College District Board of Trustees.

Freckleton, of Flagler Beach, served for over 30 years with the U.S. Army Reserves from 1970-2004 and earned the rank of Colonel. As Commander of a military police battalion, Freckleton was involved with the restoration of democracy in Haiti. In 1992, he retired from the NYC Department of Corrections. He has served as a Daytona State College trustee since 2011. He earned his bachelor’s degree from John Jay College in New York City. Freckleton is appointed to a four-year term.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
