Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of Major General James O. Eifert, Captain Keith Hoskins and Rear Admiral Stanley Bozin to the Florida Defense Support Task Force.
Major General James O. Eifert
Major General James O. Eifert is assigned as The Adjutant General, Florida. He is the senior military advisor to the Governor and is responsible for the overall management, readiness, and mobilization of both U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force elements of the Florida National Guard.
Captain Keith Hoskins (Ret.)
Captain Keith Hoskins (Ret.), of Pensacola, is senior vice president of Navy Federal Credit Union. Hoskins retired from the U.S. Navy after 27 years of service in 2016. Prior to retiring, he was appointed Commanding Officer of the Naval Air Station in Pensacola in 2013, becoming both the first African American and the first former Blue Angel to hold the position. Hoskins earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Missouri Western State University and his master’s degree in national resource strategy and policy from Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. Hoskins is appointed to a four-year term.
Rear Admiral Stanley Bozin (Ret.)
Rear Admiral Stanley D. Bozin (Ret.), of Jacksonville, has served as Command in the U.S. Navy at every numerous levels. He served as Patrol Squadron 24 at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Fla. as commanding officer (1991-1993), Commander, Task Group 67.1 (1992-1993), Commander, Patrol Wing 10 at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Wash. (1996-1998), and Commander, Fleet Air Mediterranean; Commander, Maritime Surveillance and Reconnaissance Forces, U.S. Sixth Fleet; Commander, Naval Surface Group Mediterranean; Commander, and Maritime Air Allied Naval Forces South, Naples Italy (2003-2005). In April 2004, he assumed additional duties as Commander, Navy Region Europe. He has deployed around the world including Adak, Alaska; Misawa, Japan; Keflavik, Iceland; Sigonella, Sicily; and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Rutgers College and his master’s degree in financial management from the Naval Post Graduate School. Bozin is appointed to a four-year term.
