Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointments of Jonathan Martin and Danny Nix and the appointment of David Ciccarello to the Florida Southwestern State College District Board of Trustees.

Jonathan Martin

Martin, of Fort Myers, is an attorney at Parvey & Frankel Attorneys, P.A. His practice specializes in a variety of areas including personal injury, neglect and malpractice. He is the current chairman of the Lee County Republican Party. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in political science and religious studies from Stetson University and his juris doctor from Liberty University School of Law. Martin is reappointed for a four-year term.

Danny Nix

Nix, of Punta Gorda, is the owner of Nix and Associates Real Estate. He is a board member at Crossroads Hope Academy, a nonprofit home for foster boys. Nix has served as director for the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce since 2015. He earned his bachelor’s in business marketing management from Western Governors University. Nix is reappointed for a four-year term.

David Ciccarello

Ciccarello, of Fort Myers, is a partner at Wilbur Smith law firm. Previously, he was an associate attorney with Knott, Ebelini & Hart law firm from 2009-2014. He served on the advisory board for Lee Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Center from 2011-2013 and was chair of the Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar in 2018. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his juris doctorate from Stetson University. Ciccarello is appointed to a four-year term.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
