Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Brian Lamb to the Board of Governors of the State University System.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Lamb to the Board of Governors of the State University System,” said Governor DeSantis. “He’s done a great job at USF and I am confident Florida’s university system will continue to excel through his leadership.”

Lamb, of Tampa, is the Head of Wealth and Asset Management at Fifth Third Bank. As the chair of the University of South Florida’s Board of Trustees, Lamb led the University on their recent presidential search. He is a newly inducted member of the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and MBA from the University of South Florida. He is also a graduate of Stonier Banking School at the University of Pennsylvania. Lamb is appointed for the remaining seven years of a term.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
