Governor Scott Appoints Andrea Teves Smith to the Tenth Circuit Court

Tallahassee,Fla.- Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Andrea Teves Smith to the Tenth Circuit Court.

Smith, 44, of Lakeland, has practiced with Peterson & Myers, P.A. since she graduated from law school in 1994,and is a partner in the firm. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and her law degree from Stetson University. Smith served as General Counsel and Board of Director for the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2012. Smith fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge J. David Langford.

Governor Rick Scott said,uAndrea is going to make a great addition to the Tenth Circuit bench. Throughout her long career in private law practice,she has demonstrated a strong understanding of the law, whi ch will help her serve Floridians with compassion and integrity.”
